Job description
Senior Finance Administrator
Closing date – 9th October 2026, we reserve the right to close this advert early if we receive a high volume of suitable applications.
Here at CoreTech we continue to grow, and growth like ours creates opportunity. We're looking for an experienced Senior Finance Administrator to take real ownership within our Operations team – not just to keep the finance function running, but to help shape what it becomes as we scale.
This role comes with its own unique rhythm, as you’ll become aware of: so, one day you’ll be busy prepping for month end, the next you’ll be regularly paying our suppliers and then another you’ll be preparing reports for our Executive team.
The role is varied with all aspects of finance involved, but there is one common theme – a need for someone who takes pride in keeping things accurate, organised and compliant, with the ambition to take on more as the opportunity grows.
\n- Someone with commercial experience in finance and accounting, with proven ability to manage end-to-end bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, payroll reconciliation, budgeting, and reporting accurately and efficiently.
- You’ve studied a full or part accounting qualification such as AAT, CIMA, ACCA or have equivalent experience.
- You have meticulous attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy, with advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Xero or similar), including the ability to post journals and maintain accurate ledgers.
- You have a solid understanding of UK tax and compliance obligations, including VAT, Corporation Tax, QIPs, and statutory annual reporting.
- Someone able to communicate in a clear and concise manner with the ability to translate financial data into plain-English.
- A proactive problem solver with a continuous improvement mindset, able to work autonomously, prioritise competing deadlines, and maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive financial and commercial information.
- Someone eligible for UK Security Clearance up to SC level.
The role is based in our Cheltenham office. Given the close working relationships required with our Operations Team we expect this role to be primarily office-based; the day-to-day nature of the work means being present and accessible makes a real difference to the quality of service we provide.
You'll be able to enjoy a flexible structure of whatever works for you. With flexibility to work around school hours or family commitments, with genuine trust when it comes to managing your working hours.
- Promotions are based on technical excellence and reviewed regularly.
- 25 days holiday per year (with bank holidays on top), option to buy up to 5 days per year. For full time service.
- Level up with an extra day of holiday per year, up to an extra 5 days, starting from 2 years' service.
- Regular events including internal technical conferences, company socials and pizza-fuelled lunchtime seminars.
- Free seasonal fruit, tea, coffee, milk, squash and hot chocolate.
- Private online GP, and a helpline to speak with various healthcare professionals.
- Physiotherapists, osteopaths or chiropractors for muscle, bone, and joint pain.
- Mental health - counselling, and specialist consultations and treatment with psychologists and cognitive behavioural therapists.
- Annual Health assessment.
- A company bonus scheme so that everybody is rewarded for company success. This is an annual award that is based on the company hitting its targeted forecast. We have achieved this every year to date.
- 8% company contribution to pension with no minimum requirement for employee contribution.
- Death in Service cover of 4x base salary.
- Enhanced maternity/paternity/adoption leave: 12 weeks maternity leave at full pay as soon as you join, further enhanced to 20 weeks full pay from 2 years’ service. 2 weeks paternity leave at full pay as soon as you join, further enhanced to 4 weeks full pay from 2 years’ service.
- Enhanced cycle-to-work scheme including the ability to purchase a bike over £1,000 (e-bikes, specialist cycles and trikes allowed).
Additional Details
Our interview process is quick and to the point: if you look like a good fit for the role, we'll schedule a call to discuss it in more detail and answer any questions you may have. If that goes well, we’ll invite you to our office for a more in-depth competency based interview.
Location
